Nothos are well known for their striking coloration and hardiness. Male Nothobranchius rubripinnis are a perfect example of the genus, sporting contrasting deep red fins and bright blue accents.
Nothobranchius can be very territorial and should only be kept with non competitive species that are big enough not to be eaten. The males may show breeding aggression toward the females. This can be prevented by providing plenty of cover in the form of floating plants such as guppy grass. A tank as small as 5 gallons is suitable for a trio as long as there are hiding places available.
We have 1 male and 2 females available to ship out. The fish in the images are the same individuals you will receive. Fish are shipped overnight any day Monday – Thursday and are guaranteed to arrive alive. Any claims must be made with photographs within 24 hours of receipt.
