This variety of Eriocaulon is one of the only available species in the genus that thrives without high light or injected CO2. This hardy aquarium plant grows well under the same conditions as most Cryptocoryne species, benefiting from nutrient rich substrate. Like any Erio, it can be sensitive to moving, which is usually expressed through yellowing leaf tips or dropping leaves. New growth forms in dense clumps around the original plant, and can be separated to propagate more quickly.
