Monneywort – Bacopa monnieri

This easy aquarium plant is a great option for beginners and experts alike. With stiff stems and firm leaves, it is tougher than many of the more delicate stem plants. This species tends to have longer, narrower leaves than the more round-leaved Bacopa caroliniana. It grows easily and steadily in most substrates without intense lighting. This species will grow tall if allowed, but can be trimmed at the stem and the cuttings can be planted for denser growth.
